If you've relied on Community Action Services and Food Bank in Provo, here's where things stand. The food bank closed its doors Nov. 1 after a reported decline in funding, and it's no longer accepting donations of any kind. That came even after the community raised more than $100,000 in recent weeks.
CASFB also provided homelessness prevention, rental and utility assistance, and emergency housing support. Mountainland Continuum of Care, a coalition covering Utah, Wasatch and Summit counties, says local partners, Utah County and the Utah Office of Homeless Services are coordinating referrals and identifying emergency shelters.
