ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A former dance teacher lost the use of her legs after she was hit from behind by a semi-truck nearly two weeks ago when she pulled over to the side of the freeway in Spanish Fork—she now faces a long recovery with serious spinal cord, rib, and lung injuries. KUTV
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Utah is facing a severe drought—100% of the state is dry and nearly 76% is in severe drought, leading to a quick drop in reservoir levels. The Division of Water Resources says storage is now around 67% compared to 83% last year—warning that water will remain scarce until cooler weather and the end of the irrigation season in October. - ➤ Crews with UDOT began work on reconstructing the University Avenue Bridge in Provo—starting demolition on the west side in late October while drivers face lane restrictions.
