Scalley, in his first year as head coach, wants a calmer rivalry. "It's mine and Kalani's hope that this thing can be more civil," he said of the rivalry. Scalley calls Sitake, the BYU coach, "a dear friend." He also said: "Does God care who wins this game? No."
- Kickoff: Saturday, 10 a.m., Rice-Eccles Stadium
- Pregame show: 9 a.m. on ABC4, live from the tailgate
- Utah: undefeated and No. 3 in the AP poll
- Scalley's hope: less hatred and toxicity from both sides
Utah's last loss was to BYU. Reminded of it, Scalley said, "Oh, thank you for reminding me of that."
14straight wins for Utah since last October's loss to BYU
Utah lost 24-21 in Provo last October. The last eight wins have come with Scalley as head coach.
