COMMUNITY NEWS

  • The Healer Nativity event is taking place on an abandoned road in Provo from now until Dec. 23 and features a walk-through nativity with live animals, statues, food, and a live market—designed to unite the community after recent tragedies.  FOX 13

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • During Thanksgiving, UDOT’s Incident Management Team kept roads safe by closing lanes after an I-15 crash and assisting with a semi-truck brake issue in Parley’s Canyon—providing tire changes and first aid to stranded drivers. Worker Dale Talbot set up cones and helped motorists—showing how quick responses can ease heavy holiday travel.  KUTV

SPORTS NEWS

  • In November 1965, 13 people died when a plane carrying BYU football boosters crashed near Camp Williams, a tragedy that left a deep mark on the team’s history. Descendants recently visited the crash site (honoring their loved ones) and now look ahead to today's game as BYU chases a power conference title.  Deseret News
  • AJ Dybantsa is excelling at BYU in both his studies and basketball thanks to his parents' firm rules that keep him focused. Coach Kevin Young praised his comeback effort and noted that his strong work ethic and focus on education set him apart (which continues to prepare him for an NBA future).  Deseret News
  • No. 13 Utah rallied from behind to beat Kansas 31-21 on Friday. Devon Dampier threw for 253 yards with three touchdowns and Elijah Davis returned an interception 97 yards for a score—keeping the Utes' slim Big 12 title hopes alive as they wait for other game results.  KUTV
