ECONOMY NEWS

  • Utah lawmakers and business leaders returned from a two-week trade mission to India where they saw promising opportunities in manufacturing and technology; State Senate President Stuart Adams said they plan to bring Indian delegations to Utah next year (Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal was among the officials they met). Local experts added that the trip could boost local jobs by opening new markets for Utah companies.  Deseret News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • During his PBS Utah news conference on Tuesday, Governor Spencer Cox said he understands criticism of the new Utah 2034 Olympic logo and that its bold design has united the state; he added the logo is temporary and a final design will be chosen in 2029 after public feedback — a move to include all of Utah.  Deseret News
