HEALTH NEWS

  • The Utah Department of Agriculture and Food said that all ByHeart Whole Nutrition Infant Formula must not be used after tests found possible contamination linked to infant botulism in several states. Parents are told to stop using the formula and to keep the package details (including lot numbers) to share with health officials if their child shows symptoms.  KUTV

SPORTS NEWS

  • Centerville’s Taegan Ferrin, along with teammates Sophie Post and Payton DeGraw, competed in Tokyo at the Deaflympics where the U.S. is aiming for its record fifth gold medal (Ferrin, a goalkeeper and new mom, balanced playing with caring for her 7 month old daughter after Friday’s opening game). The team will face Australia on Tuesday, play Great Britain on November 22, and contest for gold on November 25.  Deseret News
  • The LA28 volunteer program has opened online for anyone 18 and older, and pilot events with local groups started on November 6—while Utah officials report high interest for the 2034 Winter Games, with a formal sign-up process expected after the 2030 Games and final selections in 2033.  Deseret News
