- ➤ A new poll by Deseret News and the Hinckley Institute—surveying 809 registered Utah voters from Oct 17-22—found 64% like candy corn while 36% dislike it; the survey also showed that Utah shoppers spend 50% more on candy than the national average and rank high in buying the treat with Sweet Tarts as their top choice. - ➤ Utah Gov. Spencer Cox traveled to New Zealand and Australia this week to pursue high-grade uranium opportunities—efforts that align with a global push for HALEU fuel amid soaring uranium prices and an $8.5 billion minerals deal signed by the U.S. and Australia. Idaho National Laboratory and other firms are working to boost domestic HALEU production as advanced reactor technologies drive growing demand. Deseret News
