- ➤ After a fatal crash closed Alpine Loop in American Fork Canyon, residents raised concerns over the narrow road as nearly two dozen crashes occurred this year—UDOT warned that drivers should slow down and that the route may close for winter in mid-November. KUTV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Yesterday, Gov. Spencer Cox led a trade mission to New Zealand where he met local leaders, signed a Letter of Intent with New Zealand’s Energy Minister for geothermal cooperation, and toured key industry facilities. Today, his delegation will fly to Sydney — continuing meetings on aerospace, defense, and critical minerals to expand trade ties and innovation. Deseret News

- ➤ St. Joseph earned a first-round bye as the No. 3 seed in the 1A state girls volleyball bracket released Monday morning by the UHSAA—and will meet the winner from Whitehorse and Green River in the second round on Thursday at the UCCU Center at UVU. Standard-Examiner
- ➤ Crumbl (Utah-based cookie company) CEO Jason McGowan offered to pay the Big 12 fine after BYU fans stormed the field following their win over Utah on Monday, October 20th. BYU secured its third straight win in a ranked game and officials have fined teams up to $50,000 for similar incidents (the exact fine is still unknown). KUTV
