- ➤ Community Action Services and Food Bank closed its Springville pantry at the Early Learning Essentials facility due to repurposing of space, Hogan said (the agency now focuses on its Provo pantry with extended evening hours and will look for a new Springville site when possible). Deseret News

- ➤ Moon's Rare Books in Provo became a bucket list item as Reid Moon shared how his collection of rare artifacts connects the past with today; on Oct. 3, visitors saw treasures such as a prop baseball with Babe Ruth and Duke Snider on it—part of over 5,000 historical items. This unique exhibit continues to draw visitors from across the country. Deseret News
