  • Amid the government shutdown, the Utah chapter of Blue Star Families is helping military families by linking them with local charities to address food insecurity and urgent needs. EDUCATION NEWS

  • On Oct. 8, 2025, students in the Fire Science Program at Jordan Academy for Technology and Careers practiced firefighting skills at the Magna Unified Fire Training Tower in Magna—learning to navigate tight spaces, set up ladders, and manage hoses under instructor guidance. Their hands-on training helped prepare future firefighters for real-life emergencies.  Deseret News
