- ➤ Nine days after Charlie Kirk was fatally shot on campus, Utah Valley University has not released its security plans for the Sept. 10 rally—raising concerns as public records and interview requests remain unfulfilled. FOX 13
- ➤ Utah Valley University held a Vigil for Unity on Friday at the UCCU Center after Charlie Kirk, the leader of Turning Point USA, was fatally shot on campus and the event brought students and community members together to remember and heal — university leaders said the violence hurt free speech and open dialogue. - ➤ Utah educators and students report that the new law banning cellphones during class is showing early positive effects — teachers say students are engaging more in class without distractions. - ➤ A nationally representative poll conducted after the targeted killing of Charlie Kirk at UVU on Sept. 10 found 63% of Americans were very concerned about gun violence—30% now support stricter gun laws, with older adults and women most worried.
