GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Utah’s redistricting lawsuit is back before the Utah Supreme Court as legislative attorneys appeal a ruling that struck down the 2021 congressional map drawn without following Proposition 4. Anti-gerrymandering plaintiffs called the Legislature’s claim of an emergency ironic—Judge Gibson amended her order and set deadlines including a Sept. 25 deadline for a new map, a public comment period until Oct. 5, and a final decision by Nov. 10.
