ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Heavy rain caused a mudslide at a Provo church on South Slate Canyon Drive that covered the building with up to four feet of mud—community members and crews removed much of the mud but church officials said repairs will take four to six months as wards must relocate.  KUTV

  • Toyota showcased its 2025 GR Corolla during the Fourth of July weekend by running busy errands and hauling festival gear around Provo. The hot hatch combined a 300-horsepower turbocharged engine with everyday practicality—proving it can offer both fun and function as a daily driver.  Standard-Examiner

  • Provo property owners will pay more in taxes than expected because the auditor's office made a billing mistake. City and county officials are gathering details and will update residents next week—county auditor Rod Mann accepted responsibility.  KUTV

  • On Aug.29, Friday high school football games produced both tight finishes and dominant wins—Westlake edged Bingham 17-10 with a late touchdown run, Provo lost 21-14 to Springville after a key interception return, and Farmington won 10-7 in overtime while other teams posted decisive victories.  Deseret News
