- ➤ State water officials are investigating a fish kill in the Jordan River near Willow Park in Lehi after a resident reported at least 50 dead fish floating near a golf club. Investigators suspect harmful algal blooms or high water temperatures affecting oxygen levels and expect clearer results by this weekend. Deseret News

- ➤ Utah officials said that hunting and fishing license suspensions have decreased because wildlife officers now focus on blatant law breaking—aiming to deter intentional wildlife crimes while giving honest mistakes a chance for correction. - ➤ Rep. Celeste Maloy said Friday that federal permit delays hurt Utah projects and raise energy bills — she introduced the FREE Act to require permit decisions within 180 days.
