  • Organizers behind efforts to overturn Utah's law banning public sector collective bargaining urge lawmakers to either fully repeal the law or let voters decide in the 2026 referendum as discussions on potential changes continue in a special session this September. Public workers including teachers, firefighters and police support repealing the law—saying it is key for fair working conditions—while some lawmakers say it protects taxpayer interests.  Deseret News
