Flight Leaders Training Academy will open a new flight school in Spanish Fork this September to speed up FAA flight checks and reduce wait times for student pilots.

The facility (with a restaurant, coffee shop, park and pavilion) is set to help pilots finish training in about 14 months and ease the pilot shortage.

The Utah State Board of Education launched the Every Day Counts campaign to reduce chronic absenteeism in K-12 schools by offering tools for families and educators—such as attendance ambassadors—to help students attend regularly.

This initiative aims to lower missed school days and boost classroom engagement.
