  • Cindy Kramer, known as the Fairy Gardener, spent a decade collecting twigs and pinecones to build over 80 fairy houses at Thanksgiving Point’s Ashton Gardens—where visitors, including children, enjoy knocking on tiny doors and leaving letters. Imaginaria runs through August 23 and offers a magical, creative space for all who visit.  KUTV

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • On July 29th, Brian Steed said the Great Salt Lake is 3 feet below its target level, a drop that highlights a statewide drought affecting nearly 60% of Utah—prompting multi-million-dollar conservation efforts and raising 77% of residents' concerns. The state has spent nearly a billion dollars on water conservation and is providing $53 million in grants to help restore this vital resource.  Deseret News

  • Provo residents will vote on Aug. 12 in a municipal primary that will trim 10 City Council nominees down to six for three seats in the November general election.
