ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Last week, Tiffinie Wolf got stuck under Trestle Bridge on the Provo River while paddleboarding with her daughter and was rescued by DNR ranger Wyatt Manis and bystanders who helped keep her safe; local officials urged water users to wear life jackets and avoid using tether straps—recommending they exit at the pull-out area ahead of the bridge. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Utah law enforcement seized 4.3 million units of fentanyl by early 2025—over 92% of last year’s total—as overdose deaths dropped by 1.5%, the Fentanyl Task Force reported Monday on Capitol steps. The task force also announced a pending prosecution under a new law that makes trafficking over 100 grams of fentanyl a first-degree felony to protect communities. Deseret News
