- ➤ Pleasant Grove and Springville, along with five other communities, joined the Utah Main Street program’s Tier 1 Promising Communities to revitalize their historic downtowns and spur economic growth. Pleasant Grove is set to hire a consultant—backed by a planning grant—while Springville will rebuild its Central Bank structure to restore its 19th-century look. Daily Herald

- ➤ Provo Recreation Center cancelled Dirtylicious Dance Fitness classes two weeks ago after a complaint raised concerns about content and filming without permission; creator Erica Tanner said the classes had run for three years and now the community is asking for a clear explanation and an appeal of the decision. LIFESTYLE NEWS
- ➤ Local seniors can save money this summer with discounts offered by local spots like the Utah Transit Authority, Brighton Ski Resort, and Loveland Living Planet Aquarium, while many national chains and travel providers offer special pricing for meals, trips, and goods for those aged 55 or 65 and up.
