- ➤ Provo has completed its new $120 million water reclamation facility that treats over 16 million gallons of sewage daily. The city will hold Flush Fest on June 21 at 11 a.m. at 1685 S. East Bay Blvd—featuring guided tours, food trucks, and educational booths on water protection. Deseret News
- ➤ Hank Woolley uncovered a 76-million-year-old fossil from Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument that led researchers to identify a new species of lizard named Bolg amondol — a raccoon-sized ancestor of modern Gila monsters — offering a fresh view of Utah’s ancient subtropical ecosystem. - ➤ Sen. Mike Lee’s reconciliation bill may allow up to 3 million acres of federal public lands to be sold over the next five years—if passed, the first sales could start this fall and local officials will have the right to review offers.
