- ➤ Fortem Technologies opened its advanced manufacturing facility in Lindon on June 17th and began developing tech to stop dangerous drones before they hit U.S. soil — the company tested its DroneHunter system that uses radar to capture enemy drones and works with military and federal agencies. CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Local artist Chris Peterson introduced Wildlife Walls, a project that links wildlife murals and viewing spots on an interactive map—this summer the project will host a contest with monthly prize drawings and aims to add murals in every county. Deseret News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Provo was ranked America’s best-run city by WalletHub because low crime, responsible budgeting and high graduation rates set it apart. Mayor Michelle Kaufusi said the ranking shows the city is focused on quality schools, safe neighborhoods and well-maintained roads and will keep investing wisely to improve services. Deseret News
