- ➤ The Springville community gathered at Springville High School on Saturday to honor Alex Johnson, who unexpectedly died on June 5th during a church youth camp near Wasatch Mountain State Park. His family and friends remembered his lifelong service and genuine care—while a GoFundMe has been set up to help cover funeral costs and support his widow and four children. KUTV
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Fire crews fought a large fire at Chipman’s Mansion in American Fork on Saturday morning that destroyed the historic home and killed several pets as an off-duty firefighter spotted smoke near 11 a.m., called 911 and helped rescue some animals before extra teams arrived (the homeowner said no one was in the home and the cause remains under investigation). - ➤ Authorities in Whittier — a small Alaskan town — charged 11 American Samoan residents with falsely claiming U.S. citizenship on voter registration forms, a legal battle that raises concerns about voting rights and could affect Utah’s growing American Samoan community. KUTV
