CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Fifteen-year-old Alisa Petrov, missing for six weeks, turned herself in at the Stetson Hills police station in Colorado Springs—548 miles from Provo where she was last seen, and she is safe with Colorado officials. KUTV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Engineers said that Utah earned a C+ on its infrastructure from a report released Thursday but that old levees and canals—many over 60 years old—need work to avoid flood risks near airports. They urged the state to add more money for dam safety and better transportation. Standard-Examiner
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ A new analysis by Construction Coverage ranked Utah as the eighth-worst state for finding starter homes, with the Salt Lake area at 49th among 54 large metros and Provo-Orem at the tenth-worst — a ranking driven by high median prices and few smaller homes available. Governor Spencer Cox met with local mayors on May 29th to discuss plans for 35,000 new starter homes by the end of 2028 and expanded eligibility for $300 million in public funds. Deseret News

- ➤ Bryson DeChambeau shared his Utah trip in a YouTube Short uploaded Monday, showing visits to a Provo golf course—where he arrived by helicopter on May 21—and stops at a mountain range and the Bonneville Salt Flats while promoting his energy drink partnership.
