- ➤ Jackie Stevens restored the Veterans Memorial at Spanish Fork Cemetery—removing decay and repainting it ahead of Memorial Day weekend. The community will observe the memorial with a tribute on Monday at 10:30 a.m. FOX 13

- ➤ Utah County’s McWane Ductile factory celebrated its 100th year on Friday, May 22 near Provo with a banquet for 300-plus employees and local leaders. General Manager Jared Ellison said the milestone marks a historic achievement that supports community infrastructure and local partnerships (including in Springville). Daily Herald

- ➤ Former BYU faculty member Jeff Strong studied faith disaffiliation among Latter-day Saints to examine how church culture influences belief. His research, described as pastoral, encourages respectful dialogue and introspection on community strengths and areas for growth. Deseret News
