  • A Big 12 preview ranks returning quarterbacks—such as BYU’s Jake Retzlaff and Utah’s Devon Dampier—among the top prospects while noting that Dampier needs to improve decision-making and Retzlaff must boost consistency for the 2025 season. Coaches and fans expect these athletes to work over the offseason to raise their game.  Deseret News
  • On May 17, Skyridge beat Lone Peak 13-12 in a dramatic 6A girls lacrosse quarterfinal in Lehi—freshman Summer Buechner set up the final goal in regulation and scored the overtime winner. The Falcons now advance to the semifinals, where they will face the top seed.  Daily Herald
  • Bonneville junior Davis DeGroot returned home as a four-time state champion from the track meet held May 15-17 at BYU in Provo, winning the 100, 200, 400 meters and long jump. He ran the 100-meter race in 10.69 seconds and said he is ready to break state records.  Standard-Examiner
