Good morning, Provo.

Governor Spencer Cox declared a 30-day state of emergency after an unseasonal April freeze wiped out 95 to 100% of key fruit crops and affected grain production in 10 counties.

The order unlocks USDA and state disaster relief programs to help struggling farmers.

Residents in Cedar Hills took part in a 5K Saturday morning to support local woman Alex Rowan as she battles a brain tumor and raises childhood cancer awareness, with neighbors cheering her finish before her three-month break from her last round of chemo.

Over the weekend, a local resident prepped his yard for summer (spreading mulch, topping off garden boxes, and checking drip lines) while attending the funeral of his grandfather, a landscape architect whose work helped shape Provo's public spaces and family gardens for decades.
