- ➤ Scouting America's renewed focus in Utah draws local youth into service & outdoor learning as the organization gears up ahead of the nation's 250th anniversary. Supported by the Major Brent Taylor Foundation and community leaders, new Scout troops are setting the stage for future mentorship and civic engagement. KUTV
- ➤ Cyclists came out in full force for Provo’s Bike to Work Day on Thursday, May 14, riding from 7:30-9 a.m. and enjoying free breakfast from local sponsors while the city celebrated its gold-level Bicycle friendly community award — a sign of its growing biking culture. Daily Herald
- ➤ New federal estimates show Eagle Mountain added over 5,000 residents (8.5% growth) between July 2024 and July 2025, making it one of the fastest growing U.S. cities with at least 20,000 people while neighboring Saratoga Springs gained over 4,200 residents and other Utah County cities also saw strong numbers. - ➤ Utah high school students must pass a personal finance course to graduate and are recognized for top national budgeting skills, per a recent WalletHub study. - ➤ Dry, windy conditions fanned wildfires and caused power outages across Utah yesterday. The Wild Horse Fire in Millard County grew to 1,100 acres as gusts up to 60 mph drove its rapid spread. KUTV
