  • Crumbl founders Jason McGowan and Sawyer Hemsley announced they are stepping down from daily roles—remaining on the board—as the company seeks new leadership to help scale and enhance its customer experience.   • Monroe Rigby, a 17-year-old singer from Utah—who credits her local music training with her rise—will represent France in the Eurovision Song Contest grand finale on Saturday, May 16 in Vienna, livestreamed at 1 p.m. MDT.  Deseret News

ECONOMY NEWS

  • A hard freeze weeks ago wiped out fruit crops for many growers in southern Utah County, with Pyne Farms losing over $200,000 in revenue. As summer markets approach, vendors plan to offer alternative products to support local farmers as they recover.  FOX 13

EDUCATION NEWS

  • BYU students built a supermileage vehicle that can travel 2,145 miles on a single gallon, winning the Shell Eco-marathon at Indianapolis last month — marking their third win in four years — and they are set to compete in Qatar in 2027 while applying classroom skills to real challenges.  Deseret News
  • The Utah-based company Instructure reached an agreement with hackers after last week’s cyberattack on the Canvas online education platform disrupted schools, and the system is operating safely now for users in Provo. A congressional briefing will soon review details of the breach.  Deseret News
