- ➤ UTA extended its on-demand service to an 8.6-square-mile area in the west side of Orem and Provo that includes Provo Airport and City Hall to help fill transit gaps. Provo and Orem leaders expect the new microtransit service—blending bus operations with ridesharing and charging $2.50 per one-way ride—to boost connectivity with trips running Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Deseret News
- ➤ Rep. Jefferson Moss (R-Saratoga Springs) is stepping down as Utah House Majority Leader to join Gov. Spencer Cox’s Cabinet as head of the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity starting May 30; his move will trigger a special leadership election for his district.
