ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A 9-year-old boy (Dalton Gibbs) was struck and killed by a truck while crossing a local street in Pleasant Grove, and community members have gathered flowers and blue ribbons to support his grieving family.  FOX 13

CRIME NEWS

  • A 15-year-old girl reported missing last week may be trying to reach Las Vegas — police said she was last seen leaving her American Fork school and boarding a train in Provo, and they warned that she is endangered while urging anyone with information to call the South Jordan Police.  ABC4

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Utah Valley University awarded more than 12,000 degrees yesterday at its record-breaking commencement where many graduates were the first in their families to earn a degree — a milestone that shows the institution’s growing impact — as keynote speaker Crystal Maggelet urged them to use their hard-earned resilience for future challenges. The university also earned recognition as an Opportunity College for its efforts to widen access and support student success.  Deseret News
