  • A film called 'Raising the Bar: The Alma Richards Story' tells the story of a Utah farm boy who won the Olympic high jump in 1912 and is premiering in Utah theaters this week; it will be released in Idaho and Arizona next week (the movie is by local filmmaker T.C. Christensen, who is related to Richards).  Deseret News

  • The 2025 NFL draft ended after three days and local college athletes from BYU, Utah and Utah State secured free agent deals or mini-camp invites while others were chosen—Caleb Lohner was picked by the Broncos and Jalen Royals by the Chiefs—and teams are expected to update signings soon.  Deseret News
