CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The annual Festival of Colors at the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork ran on Saturday (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and is set to run today (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.) with about 10,000 people expected despite rain. Founder Caru Das said the event includes live music, dance, and yoga and charges a $10 admission fee for adults with free entry for kids 12 and under. Daily Herald

- ➤ The Utah County Commission approved new boundary maps that split Alpine School District into three districts, with names to be finalized and changes to be made as each new district prepares its policies and hires staff ahead of the 2027 school year. The 21 new school board seats will be filled in the November election, and many families are watching closely to see how the changes might affect their local schools. Deseret News
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Researchers at Intermountain Health reported on Wednesday a study that used an FDA-approved at-home monitor to track blood oxygen levels and alert caregivers when patients taking opioids after same-day surgery showed risky drops; the study monitored 359 patients at the Intermountain Orthopedic Specialty Hospital—26 received alerts leading investigators to estimate that up to 14 lives were saved.
