  • University of Utah student Jake Esayian launched Always Outdoors about a month ago to help local outdoor enthusiasts connect and plan group outings that boost social ties. The app offers a swiping feature and event marketplace (its core tools) to match users with similar interests and encourage mental well-being.  Deseret News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation awarded $100 million to Central Utah Water Conservancy District (CUWCD) for a project that will enclose the aging Strawberry High Line Canal and convert it into a modern pipeline to serve communities in southern Utah County; project work is planned to start soon.  Daily Herald
