- ➤ Authorities are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for tips on a Feb. 8 arson at the Remington Commons construction site in Provo that destroyed two buildings and caused power outages—investigators from Provo Police, Provo Fire & Rescue and ATF continue to search for leads. KUTV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Utah Legislature ended its session on March 7 by passing 582 bills that will change funding and policies for both K-12 and higher education. New laws boost teacher pay, ban cellphones in classrooms, and create career training programs—changes that will soon affect local schools. Deseret News

- ➤ An Envision Utah survey from last summer found that residents worry a major earthquake could occur within the next 50 years—but short-term issues like economic troubles make it hard to prepare—and many expect local and state governments to step up. Deseret News
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ 4-year-old Sienna has been at Primary Children's Hospital since early 2023 with a serious heart condition and now uses a new cardiac rehab program—one of the first for young heart patients—to build strength while she awaits a heart transplant.
