- ➤ Community Action Services and Food Bank urgently calls for food donations amid critically low supplies and rising need, with drop-off sites open at local Provo + nearby stores from Saturday, Mar. 7 through March 14 as emergency reserves are already depleted from January’s increased demand. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A tornado struck near Fairview, Oklahoma Thursday night, killing a mother and her teenage daughter with deep Utah ties (memorials are planned for Mar. 14 in Oklahoma and Mar. 21 in Springville) and leaving their family to cope with the loss. KUTV

- ➤ The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints released new official photos of its Twelve Apostles and First Presidency on Wednesday in Salt Lake City; Elder Clark G. - ➤ Gas prices in Utah jumped to $3.16 on Sunday from $2.74 according to AAA + several local residents reported that the increase forced budget adjustments and a shift to more fuel-efficient transport. Analysts said rising prices may persist until oil shipments resume. FOX 13
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Utah’s snowpack is at about 60% of its median as water managers say strong March precipitation is needed to boost totals before the spring melt. They urge residents to delay outdoor watering (especially lawns) to conserve water for municipal use. KUTV

- ➤ Seven states remain divided on allocating dwindling Colorado River water as the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation reviews draft plans for new reservoir rules after current guidelines end Sept. 30, and Utah’s water commissioner said the proposals may alter water deliveries for millions — leaving final decisions uncertain. - ➤ A $100 million project in Orem is replacing an old water pipeline with an earthquake-resistant design to keep water flowing to 1.6 million residents from Provo + Salt Lake Airport. Construction began in March 2025 and is set to finish by April 2027. KUTV
