- ➤ The Utah Lake Authority is hosting its second annual Great Carp Hunt to remove invasive carp that harm the lake’s ecosystem. Registration is open early until Feb 28 with tournaments planned twice a month from April 11 to June 27 at Utah Lake. Deseret News

- ➤ Patti Edwards, wife of legendary BYU coach LaVell Edwards, died at 93 on Saturday, Feb. 14 (BYU officials confirmed her passing).
