Utah Division of Wildlife Resources launched a new self-guided birdwatching challenge called the Utah Birding Slam on Tuesday to let locals spot birds from their backyards to high-elevation areas. The challenge charges $20 for adults and $10 for those 17 or younger—fees that will support habitat improvements and research.
